| I am a 22 yr old female and have had traumatic experiences of sexual abuse as a child. Now as an adult I don't get stimulated before sex and a little during sex, moreover I haven't had an orgasim. Do you think that yoga can help with the physical and mental aspects of me becoming sexually healthy? | |

| hi, Sherr.
i just wanted to encourage you to give yoga a try. i am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and have been doing yoga for about a year and a half with great results. i can't speak specifically to issues of sexual health, but i have found yoga to be absolutely *the best* tool i have for my own healing -- physical and emotional.
i would encourage you to find a teacher/class that is supportive/aware of the practice of 'ahimsa' -- nonviolence toward self and others -- as this is *so* important for folks who are dealing with issues of trauma/violence.
best wishes! | |
