Ordinary centrifugal pump needs to discharge the air in the pump shell and inlet pipe before working. For small pump, it is necessary to fill the chestnut shell and inlet pipe with water. For large mercury pump, it is necessary to have special auxiliary equipment to pump air and divert water. Another form of centrifugal pump is self-priming centrifugal pump. At present, there are three kinds of pumps used in agriculture irrigation: single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump, single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump and small-sized self-suction centrifugal pump.
