Smoking during pregnancy effects the oxygen supply of the baby and the baby may feel suffocated. The effect of smoking during pregnancy may lead to vaginal bleeding, placental abruption and placental previa. The risks of smoking during pregnancy include stillbirth, low lying placenta, placental abruption or a preterm delivery of the baby. Smoking and pregnancy cannot work together as when the women get pregnant she should avoid smoking.
